This web site is slowly on the increase as a major player amongst other Direct Download Web Sites. We are 100% user friendly with no popups, porn or any shit like that, we basically give you what you want when you want without any hassle at all. |

Why Are So Many Files Broken? |
| DDLShark gets on average, 2500 submissions a day, that is a huge ammount of downloads, lots of the files at the time of submission are in working order and are checked before added to the database. It would be far to time consuming and silly for us to go through all the downloads checking if they work or not, thats why its essential that our users report broken downloads asap so we can check and remove from the database. |

Where does all your files come from? |
DDLShark database consists of files submitted by webmasters who run various download web sites, we simply index these files from them using our Submit Page
It is currently not possible for visitors to request files so please dont try to as we will just ignore you, we simply index, we dont supply.

Get the most out of DDLShark |
There are so many different types of files submitted that it would take forever to list all the applications required. Most submissions involve .rar files, this is basically a file type that is opened and extracted by using WinRAR. This program is essential as its used by i would say 90% of all warez related web sites to compress files into a selection of related archives.
You may come across files with extensions such as .001, .002, .003 etc, these are all related to each other and require a program called HJSplit which basically allows you to select the first file (.001) and then it will join all the other files up with it to produce one file, for example a downloaded movie.
A great web site for finding out which type of file extension is used for which application is http://filext.com, here you can search for the file extension and it will suggest the best application to use. |

Where most files are hosted |
Lots of files are uploaded and hosted by sites such as Rapidshare, Megaupload etc. About 70% of all the files on DDLShark are hosted at sources such as those, we reccomend you buy a rapidshare and/or megaupload account, you wont regret it.
